Win a £50 Ikea gift card in our October competition with PlastiKote spray paint!

We’ve already started planning our Halloween decorations and we tend to get very excited when we see pumpkins coming into the shops. We wanted to make our pumpkins look a little bit different this year so what spray paint product do you think we used on them? A:Twist & Spray, B: Fast Dry Enamel C: Fluorescent.

It’s so easy to enter this month’s competition.  Just email us your answer, A, B or C, with your contact details to competition@spraypaintideas.co.uk, with OCT COMP as the subject.   We’ll pick one lucky winner at random after the closing date of 31st October. Good luck!

We run a competition every month, so do sign up to our newsletter to make sure you are in with a chance to win.

Thank you to everyone for entering our September competition and our congratulations to Lynn Smalley from Longton, Preston. Lynn correctly guessed we sprayed the cake stand in all three colours – and look, even the cakes turned out well! What do you think? Lynn wins a £50 gift card from Hobbycraft.

Instagrammer project: Rusty table makeover with PlastiKote spray paint

We love how Instagrammer @alljanesthings uses her makeover skills. This is probably one of our favourite tables and the transformation is quite spectacular. Jane explains: I bought this table which has the ‘rust’ look which I hate but I loved the table. I bought PlastiKote Rust Not as I used that on all my wrought iron furniture which was green and rusted and it’s held beautifully.

Here’s the table before the makeover.

When working with rusty objects our customer services team recommends getting as much of the rust off as possible with a wire brush, then wash with warm soapy water to remove any dirt and grease. No primer is needed with Rust Not. Once thoroughly dry, you can apply spray paint following instructions on the can.

As you can see, it worked beautifully. We want one too!

Use it this Halloween to make ghoulish figures come alive or spray your pumpkins for an after-dark glow! Other ideas for usage include stencilling on ceilings and walls, lamp bases, door frames, parking posts, garages and party decorations.
